An easy-to-use PCIe data loopback, throughput and voltage tester, the PassMark PCIe Test Card is an effective tool for verifying a PCIe slot is performing to specification.
Twenty-four on-board LEDs provide quick visual indications of I/O activity, data errors and power. Dedicated per-pin LEDs indicate which voltages are supplied to the slot (12V, 3.3V, 3.3Vaux) and from the PSU (12V and 5V), where 'Power Fail' LEDs paired with constant voltage sampling automatically reports whether any of the rails are outside of PCIe/ATX power spec.
When used with the Windows PCIeTest application, the user can run data loopback and benchmark tests in various test configurations. Benchmark tests use a bus-master DMA controller to maximise test transfer speeds between high-speed integrated LSRAM and system RAM up to a maximum theoretical speed of 5Gbps per lane. Note: After factoring in 8b/10b encoding, the raw maximum theoretical speed is 500 MBps and thus less for measurements of actual data payload throughput.
The PassMark PCIe Test Card also operates as a real-time voltage and temperature monitoring device, allowing the user to view PCIe and power supply voltage rails and temperature measurements over time.
Each Test Card carries a unique serial number that can be used to distinguish between multiple connected devices. No additional connections or power supply is required beyond the PCIe slot, (except when monitoring PSU 12V and 5V rails). Extra-thick 100 µinch hard gold plating on 150 µinch nickel fingers ensure greater durability and rated insertion cycling than typical PCIe cards.

PCIe slots of all sizes are supported, however the test card can only test up to the first four lanes of any slot.
