Connectivity

These loopback plugs connect to the Audio Port of your Windows PC or Android Device. If your device does not have an audio port, the Audio Loopback plug also functions with a USB-C audio adapter (this is not included).

BurnInTest: Utilizing the Sound Test in BurnInTest, the loopback plug can be used to measure the distortion between audio input and audio output.

Requirements

System Requirements

  • 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB RAM recommended
  • 2 GB of available disk space minimum, 4 GB Recommended
  • 1280 x 800 minimum screen resolution

Build and Run

  1. Launch Android Studio
  2. Click Open from the File menu and browse to the "oboe/apps/OboeTester" folder. Select that folder.
  3. Wait about a minute for the project to load.
  4. Connect an Android phone to your computer using a USB cable and connect Audio Loopback Plug to Audio Port.
  5. Look at your phone. You may need to give permission to use ADB on your phone.
  6. Select "Run App" from the "Run" menu.
  7. OboeTester should build and then appear on your computer.
  8. Complete your testing using the Round Trip Latency and Glitch Tests
Troubleshooting

Update the NDK (Side by Side) under SDK Tools in Android Studio
